Flagship Aviation Services
Flagship provides janitorial, maintenance, and integrated facility management services to airports across the country. TRAX gives Flagship’s teams and its airport clients the same live view of what has been cleaned, when, and by whom.
Doing the work is half the job. Proving it is the other half.
Airports across the country bring in Flagship to run janitorial, maintenance, and integrated facility management services across their terminals. That puts Flagship in the position every service contractor knows well. The building belongs to the client. The passengers walking through it judge the client. And when the client asks whether the contracted standards were met last Tuesday, the answer has to be better than yes.
Flagship worked with TRAX to design a SmartRestroom deployment that answers that question from the system rather than from memory. The data does not sit in a TRAX-only tool, either. It flows into Flagship Intuition, Flagship’s own CMMS, or into whichever system the airport already runs.
The Challenge
Airports wanted clearer monitoring of the facility work happening across their terminals: what was cleaned, how often, and whether the frequencies written into the contract were actually being met. For the airport that is oversight. For the contractor doing the work, it is something sharper. Every claim about service delivery has to be backed by a record, and assembling that record by hand at the end of the month is both expensive and easy to argue with.
There is an operational problem sitting underneath the reporting one. A gate change, an early arrival, or a delayed flight moves demand across a terminal in minutes. Staffing to a fixed schedule means having people in the right place only by accident. Flagship needed to see where passengers actually were, in time to do something about it.
The Solution
Flagship and TRAX designed a SmartRestroom deployment that pulls cleaning activity and passenger data onto one platform. Throughput counters record how many passengers enter and leave an area. Badges and beacons log when a team member starts and finishes a cleaning task. Both report automatically, without anyone stopping to fill in a form.
That data feeds straight into Flagship Intuition, the CMMS Flagship makes available to all of its airport clients, or into the airport’s own system if it has one. Dashboards give Flagship and the airport the same real-time view of passenger traffic and the work performed against it, and either side can generate reports from it. Flagship Airport Ambassadors and the airport’s own team are looking at the same numbers, which means a conversation about service delivery starts from shared facts.
What TRAX deployed
- SmartRestroom deployment across Flagship’s airport accounts
- Throughput counters recording passengers entering and leaving each area
- Badges and beacons logging when cleaning tasks start and finish
- Automatic reporting into Flagship Intuition or the airport’s own CMMS
- Real-time dashboards shared by Flagship and its airport clients
- Report generation from the same live data
The Benefits
- Visibility into passenger trends, peak times of use, staffing coverage, and total cleaning time
- Evidence that contracted cleaning frequencies are being met, taken from the system rather than assembled by hand
- Staff redeployed quickly when a gate changes or a flight lands early or late
- The right number of people on duty at peak and at slow times, so effort lands where it has the most impact
- Flagship and its airport clients working from one set of numbers instead of two
Flagship and its airport clients now work from the same live picture: what was cleaned, when, by whom, and how many passengers came through. When a gate changes, the team moves. When a client asks whether the standards were met, the answer comes out of the system.
