Platform
One platform behind the whole operation. What your frontline captures on shift is what your directors report on that afternoon.
The Platform
One platform. Four layers.
TRAX is one facility management platform, not four products you have to buy and bolt together. Clean+Inspect is the mobile app your frontline team uses on shift. TRAX IQ is the reporting layer your supervisors and directors watch. Sensors, dispensers, and integrations are modules you add when the numbers justify them. Everything runs on the same core, so the work your team captures in the morning is the data your director reports on that afternoon.
Pick a layer below to see what it does, who uses it, and how it fits.
Optional proof line under hero (recommended): In 60+ airports, 70,000+ facility locations, and hospitals and theme parks nationwide. 40+ integrations. 2M data sets processed every day.
Clean+Inspect, the mobile app for the frontline
Clean+Inspect is the TRAX mobile app your cleaning team already carries in their pocket. Tasks, inspections, inventory checks, and photo proof of service live in one app on iOS and Android. It works offline in stairwells and back-of-house, then syncs when the signal comes back. Your frontline logs the work as they do it. Your supervisors see it without radioing around the building.
- Who uses it: Frontline cleaning staff and their shift supervisors.
- What it solves: The gap between work that got done and work you can prove got done. No more paper checklists, end-of-shift guesswork, or “I’m pretty sure that restroom was serviced.”
- What’s included: Digital task lists and routes, quality inspections, inventory and consumable tracking, photo and video capture, and real-time alerts between frontline and supervisors.
The TRAX platform, the hub everything runs on
The core is what makes TRAX one system instead of a pile of apps. It takes signals from the app, the sensors, and your existing building systems, applies your rules, and routes the right task to the right person. It is also where TRAX connects to the software you already run, with 40+ integrations across CMMS, building systems, and consumable dispenser platforms. You are not ripping anything out. You are giving what you already have a shared place to talk.
- Who uses it: Operations leaders and IT teams standing TRAX up across a facility or a portfolio.
- What it solves: Systems that do not talk to each other and data stuck in separate tools. The core is the shared layer that ties the frontline app, the reporting, and your existing stack together.
- What’s included: A rules and routing engine, 40+ integrations (CMMS, building systems, dispensers, and more), and the deployment patterns TRAX is known for, including SmartRestroom for restroom-heavy sites and CleanConnect for facility-wide mapping.
TRAX IQ, one screen for the whole operation
TRAX IQ is the reporting layer, the single screen where everything the platform captures turns into something you can act on. Shift supervisors see today’s routes and open tasks. Facility directors see cleaning activity, response times, and consumable trends across the building. Executives see the same operation summarized to the numbers they report upward. Same data, three views, no separate spreadsheet to reconcile.
- Who uses it: Shift supervisors, facility directors, and executives, each with a view built for their job.
- What it solves: Reporting that lives in five places and never agrees. TRAX IQ puts cleaning activity, inspection results, response times, and consumable data on one dashboard.
- What’s included: Customizable dashboards, supervisor and executive views, inspection and activity reporting, and trend analysis across locations.
Sensors, dispensers, and badges, added when you are ready
The hardware is optional, and it is built to be added a piece at a time. Occupancy sensors tell you a restroom is seeing heavy use before the complaints start. Connected dispensers flag low soap and paper before a stall runs out. Bluetooth badges and beacons show where staff are and route the closest person to the next task. Throughput counters count the traffic that drives all of it. You add what earns its place, account by account, and it all reports back through the same platform.
- Who uses it: Building owners and facility managers who want real-time, facility-wide visibility, not just a record of completed work.
- What it solves: Reacting to problems after a guest, passenger, or patient has already noticed. Sensors move your team from answering complaints to getting ahead of them.
- What’s included: Occupancy sensors, connected dispensers, throughput counters, Bluetooth badges and beacons, and the integrations that tie them into the platform.
Pick your starting line.
There are two honest ways to start with TRAX. Neither one is the “real” way. Pick the one that fits how you buy.
Start with the app
Clean+Inspect on your team’s phones. Digital inspections, task routing, and proof of service, with no sensor commitment and no hardware to install. This is the software-first entry point most janitorial and facility service companies begin with. Add the rest when a contract justifies it.
Build the full picture
The app plus the sensor layer, wired into your building systems. Real-time occupancy, consumable levels, and staff location across the whole facility, all reporting into TRAX IQ. This is where building owners and facility managers get the complete operational view.
No. Clean+Inspect is the mobile app inside the TRAX platform, the part your frontline uses on shift. A lot of the confusion comes from the old way TRAX was described, where Clean+Inspect, SmartRestroom, and TRAX IQ sounded like separate things to buy. They are not. They are the app, a deployment pattern, and the reporting layer of one platform. You can start with just the Clean+Inspect app, but you are starting on the platform, not buying a standalone tool.
No. Plenty of TRAX customers, especially janitorial and facility service companies, run on the Clean+Inspect app and the platform with no hardware at all. Sensors, dispensers, and badges are modules you add when the visibility is worth the spend, usually account by account. Start lean, prove it out, and grow into the hardware when the ROI holds up.
It depends on scope, and we will not pretend otherwise. A software-first rollout on Clean+Inspect can be running quickly, because there is nothing to install. A full sensor deployment across a large terminal or hospital takes longer, because there is hardware, integration, and staff training involved. Every TRAX engagement includes project management, system configuration, and training, and we scope the timeline to your actual deployment rather than a generic promise.
Security and compliance matter to the buyers TRAX serves most, including airports, hospitals, and government facilities. SOC 2 pen testing is in progress. Because that status changes as testing completes, the most accurate answer for your security and procurement team is the current documentation, which we will provide during your demo. (Wording to be confirmed by Tracy before publishing, see Open Decisions.)
See it running on your facility.
The fastest way to understand how the layers fit is to see TRAX on a building like yours. We will walk your team through the app, the reporting, and the modules that make sense for your operation, and show you the Houston Airport System numbers along the way: $300,000 in inventory savings in six months, on the record from Ted Kitchens.
